The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
5.0
First read: ★★★★
Second read: ★★★★½
As the last book of the series, The Last Olympian is where you expect things to get (neatly) tied up and it does the job. While there are some bittersweet moments, most of the book maintains a similar tone as its predecessor - unexpected direction, a fun and sarcastic dialogue/banter and certain sacrifice. The most impressive thing for me is the philosophy - particularly the moral dilemma that makes Percy struggle through all that he experiences in this book. The ending felt somewhat easy, but that did not affect my enjoyment.
