Ugh I wanted to love this book, but it was really hard when I was so annoyed at one of the main characters the whole time. I understand that Briana was hurt and traumatized, but her complete inability to see Jacob for the person he was throughout the book made their relationship feel inauthentic to me. It felt unrealistic and like conflict existed for conflict’s sake, not because it made the story better.
