Alexander may be old money but he is hard working, determined and grumpy to the nth degree! He goes through assistants with alarming speed. Then Magnolia crashes into his life - the one person he would ever have predicted would be the perfect assistant!
Magnolia is struggling - her father is losing his battle with Alzheimer's, she's had a 'mare of a day and she was late for her interview. But she made a bit of an impression on Alex and he has a wager to win with the HR department!
Magnolia and Alex are complete opposites. Magnolia had a happy family life, she embraces all the hobbies that make her happy and she's finally accepting that her body is just the way it's supposed to be. Alex has more money than he knows what to do with but his family is toxic! His friends are his family and he lives to work rather than works to live. Magnolia may cause mayhem in his mind but she organises his office, his life (and him!) with alarming efficiency. I loved watching this two bicker, banter and get caught with alarming frequency in some inappropriate places!
Hedgey was the absolutely cutest sidekick and Alex was a great cat dad! Those epilogues were fab and really helped you see Alex and Magnolia's bright HEA!
