In this book, we see Fallon grow up and develop into the chosen one. This was a very feel-good and inspiring book compared to the first novel and I enjoyed it.
I loved seeing the characters from the first books, develop through the years and adapt to the new society that has been established after the doom happened.
I like to see the relationships built with Duncan and Antonia and the elders of New Hope. I also enjoyed seeing Fallon interact with New Hope.
It was a perfect bridge leading to the next book, which seems to be more action-packed. They were a lot of critical plot points within the book but overall it was very fluffy and lighthearted. Which is an aspect, that I enjoy. However, it doesn’t dean at the five stars that I originally felt the first book
I look forward to reading the final book of the series.
