I absolutlely LOVED this book. TJ Klune's characters just check all the right boxes for me. The main character grows and changes from the start of the story to the end and the supporting characters all get the right amount of time to make you love them too. His language is also beautiful. There are rich detailed descriptions in the right places but he doesn't over do it and bog the story down. The tea shop is such a tangible place by the end it's nearly a character of it's own.
And by the gods this is LGBTQ+ rep the right way.
TJ Klune's next book is a guaranteed pre-order from me after reading this.
