Hmmm...I think this is a case of good concept, not that great execution. I was interested in the beginning, but over time, there were some things I didn't feel like were handled very well. It becomes very clear at the beginning of the book that Nash has problems with alcohol and after he starts getting involved with Nora he gets better, but it was hard to say whether he was in love with her during this time OR in love with the way she made him feel (sober). I also noticed some weird plot things that just didn't make sense - why was family trauma briefly mentioned and then quickly forgotten? Why does Nash keep Monica as his manager after finding out she set this all up? Not to mention, there is a really questionable sex scene towards the end that felt almost like he drunkenly used her? I don't know, it didn't sit right with me. There were some parts that were written well, but not enough for me to want to read more. 🤷🏼‍♀️
