This is a YA fantasy which isn't usually my go to but I was in the mood for something a bit lighter. This is for adults who enjoyed the Merlin series, it gives of that vibe. I really enjoyed the multiple perspectives, it made the world building feel much more complete. I did struggle to connect with the characters in the beginning though. Overall, it is well written straightforward fantasy that has no real surprises but I enjoyed the journey all the same.
