Erratic and Unnecessary by Erelah Emerson

4.0

This book is a must read! Emerson not only leaves you feeling broken, sad, shocked and even happy, but she also leaves you to sit and stare at a blank wall for awhile so you can soak everything in. I loved so many of the poems in here, and it was so cool to see pictures and drawings that the poet herself took and drew! One of my favorite poems is:
“He walks down roads
Like he doesn’t know he’s walking.

So he has no
-Fear-
Of
Tripping
At all.”

And

“His eyes felt heavy
His mind felt dry
And with one final thought-
‘I wish to die.’”

Emerson is a talented poet and everyone should give this book a chance because there will be at least ten poems you fall in love with and can relate to in such a beautiful way!!!!!
