Felt more like a 250 page set up for the 'it was the poor neglected sociopathic child all along!' plot twist than an actual story that someone wanted to tell or that anyone wanted to hear. The whole subplot about the husband also just annoyed the hell out of me for so many reasons. Weird ending and an even weirder takeaway.
Graphic: Child death, Abandonment, and Alcohol
Moderate: Ableism, Misogyny, Sexual assault, Sexual content, Schizophrenia/Psychosis , and Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Pedophilia
