Perennials by Julie Cantrell

I wanted something light and entertaining to read and found this for $1.99 on my Kindle. It started out okay, but quickly went downhill. The main character was a 45 year old woman with the emotional maturity of a 13 year old. The characters were stereotypical and uninteresting. Then I read this sentence: "A Nobel Prize-winning Oxford boy, Faulkner became infamous not only for his way with words but also for his ability to capture the day-to-day lives of his people, my people." Infamous??? Oy vey! I skimmed ahead thinking it might improve, but it was just more of the same. Life's too short to spend anymore time on this book, hopefully the next one I read will be better!
