Pole Dance by J.A. Hornbuckle

3.0

For a book called Pole Dance I expected Caitlin to be a stripper, even more so because of the cover. She auditions to be one but changes her mind after the interview. I think this could have been better with a little more planning. There are just some things that didn't work for me. A storyline concerning her parents' estate seemed to completely get dropped. I'm curious to know what happens. There's an element of a killer in this story. That's supposed to be the huge dramatic problem. However the killer isn't stalking Jake or Caitlin. If the POV hadn't changed to random thrown in characters we would know much about the investigation. I stuck around to know who the killer was but finding out was a little lackluster. There was something suspicious that happened during the takedown scene that also didn't go anywhere. I just feel like in a book, everything should have a purpose. That didn't happen here. I think there was editing but there were still some errors, nothing that made it too difficult to read.
