New-to-me author and narrator so the book could easily have been eatheir way. But I'm glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Sure the plot wasn't perfect but the story worked for me. I also liked the characters. The first half was kinda giving me the same vibes as The Bones Beneath My Skin by TJ Klune and I was here for it.
Honestly, I love a plot where the MC and LI have to take care of a kid(/kids) and form their own found family. I eat that sh*t with a spoon and is one of the reasons I really enjoyed this book.
