The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon

3.0

I am going back and forth between whether I liked this book or didn't.

Christopher was a very well-written character. The way that he spoke/wrote the 'novel' was very well understood and it really gave an in-depth view into how Christopher thinks. It was super interesting to see his thought process, drawings of what he saw, actions to how people react to him, etc. I am curious if the author knows anyone who is Autistic due to how well Christopher was written.

The way he spoke confused me at times and was sometimes hard to follow, but I enjoyed the small storylines that continued throughout the novel. I liked to see how Christopher interpreted certain occurrences in his life and how he mentally processed them.

I wasn't in love with this book, but I didn't dislike it either. I may need to read it again in the future to better understand.
