Eh, it was okay! The scenes in the past were WAY more interesting than the scenes in the present… which was half the book. I was much more interested in what was happening before all the boat stuff. Also, side note, the movie wasn’t as brutal as the book. The book is pretty brutal. And I loved the benevolence of the creatures in this book too.
