Curfew by Jayne Cowie

4.0

Curfew is set in the not too distant future and is told from different women's perspectives. This story takes place in the UK where men are now legally required to be "tagged" with an ankle cuff that keeps track of there whereabouts. They are also not allowed to leave their homes at night. This drastic measure was in response to the increasing amount of violence against women and women's response to it. They elected all women to government and passed laws regarding men.
When a woman is found murdered in the park, Sue, a thirty year police veteran who is set to retire believes the perpetrator to be a man. Those in charge who do not want to see the Curfew laws challenged are set in proving a woman committed this crime. All the women involved in this story have events that interweave.
I really loved the story, definitely made you think about the behaviors of men and how women accept or defend themselves against it.
