Even though it took me forever to get through this, I can't say that it was because it was boring or slow, because it wasn't. (Not all the time anyway I mean come on.) I always wanted to know more and to see what would become of everything but when I put it down, I wasn't that compelled to pick it up again. (Hence why it took so long.)
I think I read it in a good time in my life to be able to appreciate and understand this kind of novel. I enjoyed it and I see why so many people have read and liked this novel through the years and I do think it raises a lot of important questions that had me stop reading and putting the book down a second or two. But I just can't give it a full 4 star.
It was good. Just not as great as I expected.
