Good Omens by Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett

5.0

As a big David Tennant stan, an amazing friend informed me about this upcoming miniseries called 'Good Omens' in 2019 and thrust the book into my unaware hands, tasking me to become enlightened before the adaptation release.

I am forever grateful that they did.

This story was everything I need from the Crowley-Castiel dynamic of Supernatural, but gazillion times better. Clearly, it's the OG and well-written by literary legends. The absolute absurdity of this, the dry humour, the character creation, and world-building... sheer perfection. And this was BEFORE I watched the adaptation.

Needless to say, this world quickly became my personality in 2019 and early 2020, and I'm looking forward to it becoming my personality in 2023 with the release of the second miniseries (if only it was a book).
