Jack (Not Jackie) by Erica Silverman

I had a hard time putting my finger on why this doesn't quite sit right, but I think I landed on it. The main thrust of this book is the sibling relationship, but the whole book still reinforces gender stereotypes. The older sister has some extremely ingrained ideas about boys and girls, and the parent does very little to correct it. I'm a little bummed that this book, which seemingly is about a wonderful and needed theme, that is still so beholden to "boy" stuff and "girl" stuff.
