Penguin Highway by Tomihiko Morimi

2.75

Having previously read The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl and The Tatami Galaxy, I thought this would be similar -- set in fourth grade instead of college but otherwise an interesting romp exploring some of life's lessons. And maybe it is, but I didn't quite get it. Though, to be fair, I had read those two previous books after seeing the animated film and animated tv show (respectively) so maybe I need to see the Penguin Highway to get it (I know there is a film version of this book, I just haven't seen it yet).
