I think this book did an excellent job of capturing the teenage experience of being obsessed with a band/artist/celebrity, and examining the nuances and impact that celebrity status can really have on a person’s life and mental health. Honestly it captured those things so well that it was almost a little hard/uncomfortable to read sometimes. I think it’s an important story, though, and would bring up good discussions, especially among a teen audience.
Graphic: Alcoholism, Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Cursing, Blood, Grief, and Stalking
Minor: Transphobia
