I'm so excited to start the Avatar novel series! ATLA was a huge part of my childhood & actually how I learnt English.
I think this book was much better than I first expected. I love the characters, I love the lore we're getting of past avatars.
My only real gripes is that I wish there had been better build up to the romance, it felt pretty sudden... I had hoped for more there, but I'm hopeful we'll get more in the 2nd book. I also wasn't super invested in the plot point in the middle of the book so it took longer than I expected to finish 😅 Everything else was great, at times this book really had me stressed & heartbroken. Looking forward to the next!
