I saw this at my local library and it immediately reminded me of Given, so I checked it out! It's not like Given at all, haha – but it does read like a BL! (I don't think this is an actual boys' love manga, but it follows the typical story beats pretty well) Taiyou is an interesting kid who switches hobbies from painting to music and trying his hardest to get better with the guitar. He meets his classmate Hikari and latches on to him, which grows a sweet friendship between to two.

The part that really struck me, was every so often we'd get dialogue from a "future" Taiyou, implying that he regrets certain decisions he made as a youth and wishes he still had his friends by his side. The mystery of what happens to his friends, and what choices he made is what really hooked me with this manga! If I remember correctly the mangaka's earlier work – Orange also follows a similar path & it's really intriguing! Curious to read more!
