This one started slow. I will say, if you picked this up after reading the Deanna Madden trilogy, this book is very different. The author really dialed down the sexuality in this one, which I think was a good choice, but may leave those looking for something very steamy disappointed. (Don't get me wrong, there's still a little steam, but it's not over the top.) I don't think I actually liked any of the characters except maybe Matt, but they were engaging enough. Think less warm and fuzzy children's book and more Real Housewives with a sinister twist. While this book is short, the first 2/3rds are mostly build-up. While I saw the end coming, it was still a satisfying conclusion.
