The Power Of Three by Kate Pearce

4.0

Listen, I do not wanna hear your judgement. Sci fi/romance/smut writers really are doing THE MOST when it comes to world building and character development. In the span of a 4 hour audiobook, I got a vivid picture of this world and developed an unhealthy artachment to the characters. The explanation for the triad relationships made sense and didn't feel like convenient nonsense, and the devices that bring the characters together felt organic, as do the relationship dynamics. My biggest gripe is that I only got such a short time with these characters, it felt a little like half a story. Of course, it is a short story and I appreciate it in that context. But it's criminal to make the characters so damn intriguing and then leave us kinda dangling on their story.
