I think this book was not as exciting as the previous one, but it was a really great filler. it tied up loose ends from the previous book, and while at times it felt a little rushed, it  gave really great information and build upfor the final book. Although at time when reading about the inside of the mare it was a little confusing and I felt as lost and turned around as the characters did. Since this book mainly tied up stuff from the previous book, there weren't as many plot twists, but still some shocking ones.
