Utopia: A Novel by Heidi Sopinka

Did not finish book. Stopped at 37%.
This book was very quickly pushing me into a reading slump.
It's supposed to have strong feminist themes but it all felt so surface level to me. I also found the dialogue to be very childish, especially between female characters.
Journal entries are used as a way to look into the mind of a
presumed
dead woman, but they go from being dated with exact days to just months and years (example: dates formatted as September 7 1968 at first, then just November 1977 or March 1970, with no days anymore). I don't understand this choice. They were also being revealed out of order which made it hard to follow.
I don't think I'll try picking this one up again, which is a shame because I was genuinely so interested in the premise of this book.
