i’ve seen so many people talk about this book for the past 2 weeks, and the reviews were either 5 stars or 1 star, so i got super curious and decided to see for myself.
first of all the cover?? absolutely gorgeous
now… EXCUSE ME‼️ i need a moment to process everything i just read. the last seven chapters were absolutely insane.
while i absolutely devoured this book, i can’t deny the end was just WILD. but it was just so entertaining and it was plot twist after plot twist after plot twist😭
some rather negative reviews make several points when it comes to some inconsistencies in the plot (and more), and at times there was a bit too much going on (especially towards the end), but it sucked me in and i just needed to find out what was gonna happen next.
notes:
- detective vick is a fucking dick
- the house crashing into the ocean was a beautiful scene to imagine
- again, i have to mention how gorgeous the cover is
- although i felt like one week was a bit too unrealistic for the story to unfold, i loved the rather fast pace of events!!!
