This is a heavy story, but I'm so glad I got to read it.
This follows characters briefly mentioned in My Hope Next Door, Laila and Chad.
Chad's brutal struggle with addiction was hard to read, but the way the people around him supported his recovery was inspiring.
Of course I loved seeing Katie and Asher again as well!
