The American Roommate Experiment, by Elena Armas

4.0

This book follows Rosie Graham, Lina's best friend from the Spanish Love Deception, and Logan Martin, Lina's cousin. The two became roommates and went on experimental dates to help Rosie get her spark for writing her book.

The book was fun and wholesome. You can see how Rosie and Logan's friendship started and how it slowly morphs into love, although Rosie did harbor a tiny crush on Logan. One I love most was how Rosie and Logan fall into a routine where he cooks dinner for both every night and they will watch their favorite show before bed. Logan was also wonderful at planning the experimental dates which had me falling hard for him.

However, I was confused about the plot towards the ending. I didn't have a connection or understanding as to why Logan acted the way he did; why he went through so much torment only to be enlightened by a book. It just wasn't adding up to me. It was confusing. And because of that, I didn't give it a high rating.

I enjoyed the book nonetheless and had small snippets of Lina and Aaron throughout the book. Logan being a dear throughout the book was wholesome to watch as well. Just wished the plot was better written towards the ending for me.
