Being somewhat new to the horror genre I didn’t really know what to expect. “Scared? From a book? HA!” - said the dummy (me).
There are moments that are just truly creepy. My stomach actually twisted in knots when I read anything pertaining to the BUGS. The vibe and dread that was conjured from the description of life in a place like Sutton during this time was almost a nightmare in itself. But it was just sooo easy to root for Abitha. This book will definitely be a re-read for October. I can’t wait to read more from Brom bc I love the way he told this story!
