I love to throw in a Jack Reacher book here and there during reading slumps. The sharp, blunt writing style is a welcome break for my mind! No difficult words or concepts, just the facts crisp and clear. I decided to read the books in publication order, so I started with this one. This first installment is a dark, brutal thriller/mystery. Definitely check content warnings before you read!
Graphic: Death, Gore, Gun violence, Physical abuse, Violence, Blood, Medical content, Kidnapping, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Child abuse, Hate crime, Racial slurs, Racism, Sexual content, Torture, Stalking, Car accident, Fire/Fire injury, and Sexual harassment
Minor: Rape and Sexual assault
