Death: The High Cost of Living by Neil Gaiman

5.0

A re-read of something you remember liking a lot is not at all like reading something for the first time. There is an expectation as well as the concern that the you who liked this thing is not you anymore. And that if you weren't reading it with these preconceptions than you wouldn't like it as much.

I've always liked Didi. I like her look. I like her attitude. The writing and the art.

And for whatever reason she captures a moment in time for me.

So this book is basically crazy and unreasonable. But it's also a slice of life. And a picture of New York. And strangers looking out for each other. And confusion. And reality. It's probably not for everyone.
