A Worse Place Than Hell: How the Civil War Battle of Fredericksburg Changed a Nation by John Matteson

5.0

This book wasn't quite what I expected it to be, but it was an enjoyable and informative read nonetheless. The book is less about the actual Battle of Fredericksburg and more about specific individuals part of, and impacted by, the battle. It gave me an interesting look at some already well-known figures and taught me about a few I was unfamiliar with. The writing itself was easy to digest and follow.
