Excuse Me While I Disappear: Tales of Midlife Mayhem by Laurie Notaro

funny slow-paced

1.5

In the beginning it was hilarious. But it’s the kind of humor that to me gets boring pretty quickly. There’s no real plot, just memories. After about 20% in to the book the jokes were not funny anymore, they felt exaggerated. It took me a long time to finish it because of this. I need to be in a particular mood to appreciate this humor, but it has to be in bits and pieces. Not a binging book for me.
