I liked this continuation of the Henry Kimball/Lily Kintner series, maybe not as much as the first but still worth reading and I ended up really zooming through this book to find out how everything unfurled. Follows Peter Swanson’s classic approach of villain povs, narrators being killed off, a no one is safe vibe and a master planner behind it all. I found the denouement a bit lacklustre, I kind of wanted more emotional drama from that but overall I liked the cat and mouse element the story took. Though after that ending, I’m curious to see how this series will continue on…
Graphic: Gun violence, Mass/school shootings, Murder, and Sexual harassment
Moderate: Infidelity and Injury/Injury detail
