The 4 Hour Workweek, Expanded And Updated: Expanded And Updated, With Over 100 New Pages Of Cutting Edge Content by Timothy Ferriss
Did not finish book.
Meh. I really hated to do it, but I DNF this. It just wasn’t enjoyable in my usually gratified self-help reading experience. I’m sure I read as a recommendation from MANY of my peers.
I agree with other reviews in that, other like-minded authors have written the same things…better. To be fair, a lot of these suggestions are likely less impactful since we are in a digital age. But it can all be summed up as “fake it til you make it.”
There was a chapter where he repeatedly said in so many words, if something can’t keep your interest, abandon it. Don’t waste your time finishing it. Each time, I would say under my breath, “like this book.”
The helpful takeaway from the 27% I read was to automate everything. I’m personally translating that to mean leverage and delegate. That is why I gave it 2 stars.
Maybe it’s just not the season I’m in. Maybe I’ll pick it up again in the future. Hopefully I won’t.
