People talk about guilty pleasure books and they are always things everybody likes and I'm always confused as to why they're embarrassed of it. Now this book -This Book is what I mean by guilty pleasure book. A diverse, modernized Hamlet adaptation? Man, I knew this could go either so crazy good or so wildly bad and I am so glad it went well.

This book earned itself a place on the guilty pleasure list because; man, it made me feel pretentious while reading it. That being said I enjoyed every part of it. It diverged so heavily from the canon of the play while still understanding and staying true to the characters, and honestly that's all I ask from an adaptation. I really don't care if someone takes canon and throws it in a fire as long as the characters personalities, motivations and desires are the same and this book does that  perfectly. I am and will be singing its praises from the hilltops.
