This is a very short book with a foreseeable storyline. The blurb already suggest that Jefferson, the little hedgedog, is falsely accused of murder and going into the book with that knowledge, it is rather obvious who the murderer is. We get to know the dynamic between animals and humans embedded into the murder storyline and the story tries to implement a bigger "moral of the story". But the book an main characters are rather cute and it gives you the feeling of being on a very weird class trip. Might be a good book to read with English learners.
