I don’t think the author could have made Bailey any more insufferable than she was the entire book. I wanted to stab my eyes out every single time she talked about being an outcast. And then got upset at the idea of Beau helping her out, like sis get off your high horse and take the help. No one in town likes you and no one wants to hire you. You already know this, just use those connections. So what he owns the bar? He’s not involved at all. If you were a crappy employee, you’d have been fired Bailey. His ownership does not detract from your hard work, please go cry me a fucking river where you and Beau like to swim. And I literally wanted to DNF the book every single time she talked about her virginity and then blamed him for not having sex with her when she stated at the beginning of the book she wanted it with someone real. He’s isn’t telling you what to do with your body. Consent goes both ways sis. Fuck off. Maybe Beau should have stuck to his staying single forever plan. Or maybe he should have died in Powerless, and saved me from reading this pointless conclusion to a great series.
