Average in every sense of the word. I liked that this was a brief interlude and let me live with my favorite characters for a little bit, but I don't totally understand the purpose of this book. Like, I don't feel like it added anything to the series? It gave me a bit more insight into some of the characters, but didn't spend enough time really getting into it for it to feel worth it...? However, this was once described to me as the "brief holiday rom com" of the series, which is exactly what it was. But, if SJM wanted to try her hand at a more character focused novel, I feel like she could have made this longer...? Overall I just wasn't impressed with this one.
