The Agathas by Liz Lawson, Kathleen Glasgow

A nice read but nothing to write home about.

Alice disappears. Alice appears again, unharmed and unexplained. Now Brooke, her (ex)best friend, disappears. But turns up dead. Now it's up to Alice and Iris to find out who is responsible for her death. Accident? Murder? They are about to find out.

I was hesitant on how high to rate The Agathas. It was really easy to read, I liked the murder/mystery aspect. I am, however, hesitant because the whole point of it is that Alice is obsessed with Agatha Christie. And it just... Isn't a plot point. Like, it really does not matter at all whatsoever. There's selected quotes from Agatha Christie stories and sometimes Alice or Iris talk about Alice liking the books. But it's so irrelevant that I got annoyed at how effing irrelevant it is.

That being said, I'd still recommend the books or read a second part in a series. Perfect for a light and quick reading without having to think much.
