On the 2014 Tayshas top ten. Historical fiction set in 13th Century Wales as the English King Edward tries to bring about the taming of the Welsh people. Follows two girls- one English and one Welsh in alternating chapters. Very difficult book to read about the hardships of the times. But worth the read!
