TW: homophobia, violence, hate crimes, death

As a queer person, I had a hard time getting through this, so because of that I gave it 3 stars. If I didn't have such an emotionally difficult time reading this, I would give it 4 stars. I think that this book is an extremely important look into homophobia and hate crimes against queer people in the U.S. I definitely would give it a read if you want to learn more about the murder of Mathew Shephard and hate crimes targeting queer people. I would recommend taking it slowly though, as this is a very heavy read.
