This is an introspective story about a woman working though her best and oldest friend's suicide and caring for the dog she inherited from him. The author uses inception-like writing devices in the narrative which I found interesting. The most surprising element is the varied musings on the perceive  moral shortcoming of writers. Are all writers self-centered and insufferable? Read on to find out what the protagonist thinks.
