Overall, it was fine. The banter between Autumn and Elijah was nice. I wish there was more time for their relationship to build up, to allow for tension to build (since its supposed to be enemies to lovers). The pacing was fine, it not a little on the fast side.
While I grew to tolerate Elijah, he was a complete ass in the beginning. <Spoiler> He didn't respect Kate's privacy seriously in the beginning and came off like an arrogant ass. Taking her phone, repainting her space, and carrying her over his shoulder? That's pretty bold for strangers. I wish the scene with Elijah's mom happened sooner, as it would've helped the flow.
I did like Kate Callaghan's depiction of chronic illness. It let's you see that when one is in constant pain, it becomes more about getting through and surviving. One forgets to truly live.
There were a lot of subplots that were getting attention, that they all fell a little short. It's a romantic Suspense, but the Suspense felt like a little bit of an afterthought. I wish there was more, instead of it all happening at the very end.
