1. this book isn’t even remotely scary for a horror novel
2. the writing style is difficult to follow/understand. i was constantly rereading sentences and a lot of time just gave up trying to understand what the author meant
3. the pacing is so strange. the first half felt too fast, there were only like 2 spooky events before he’s convinced his wife is possessed. and then the second half takes place largely over the course of 24 hours, which is insane. theres a lengthy basketball scene that takes up half the ending??
4. the ending lowkey felt like a cop out. i get the message about breaking cycles and showing mercy, but damn fr?
