The Book of Mirrors by E.O. Chirovici

3.0

This story is well paced with many intriguing cliffhangers to keep you wanting more. The mystery behind Richard's manuscript and the lingering doubt of the chain of events and their true perception, make the reading experience enjoyable and suspenseful. Both halves of the book are unique and scheming. And although, the Katz-Keller combination is appealing, once Detective Freeman comes into play, all the steam created rapidly dissolves leaving you with a bitter taste about the characters and plot layout. Many elements like the strange elements like the research of Professor Wieder, the relationship between Laura and Richard and the state of the house at the crime scene, heavily remained inconclusive or underdeveloped. I would categorized the ending of the conflict as not the worst I have read but not satisfactory.
