This was the lacroix version of Gossip Girl, like Gossip Girl if it had nowhere near the same level of drama or murder and yet I actually still loved it. I’ll be honest I rated this one mostly based on the ✨vibes✨ because it was fun.

These two did give me major whiplash and a lot of the conflict seemed to be a little pointless but I am a sucker for an arranged marriage or marriage of convenience and I think that part was written well and I was hooked on it. I’ve seen people complaining that Scarlett has as much of a personality as a piece of lettuce but I actually think she was really sweet and just a little insecure and closed off. I won’t lie, I’ve got it kind of bad for Crew, he was so much softer and more lovable than I was expecting him to be.

It was just a really easy read with just enough drama to keep me interested and an interesting cast of characters I’d like to know more about.

I would recommend it if you love an arranged marriage trope or you want some billionaire Gossip Girl vibes.
