Daughter of Shattered Skies by Sara DeLaVergne is book one in the Shattered Trilogy. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and oh my gosh! It was so good. The writing was amazing, I couldn’t put my kindle down. The worldbuilding was fantastic, I definitely read it cover to cover in one sitting. The plot was great and the pace moved briskly and the descriptions of the world are so on point that it’s easy to imagine everything you’re reading. 

This book has non-stop action, an ancient prophecy, betrayal, secret identities and power struggles. I was so invested in reading this story, I was hooked by the opening chapters. The characters were written with such care to give them depth and unique personalities. I could understand each motivation and decisions being made. I absolutely love Issa, Calix (definitely my favorite) and Elon. I can’t wait to see what happens next. This was packed full of adventure that has twists and turns that keeps you turning the pages. I cannot wait to read book two.  I think I’m going to have a new favorite trilogy!
