I only read Breakfast at Tiffany's.
It wasn't at all what I expected. I've always thought, just based on the title, that it was a lighthearted story.
But this was actually... quite intense, especially considering how short it is.
Linguistically, I think it's fantastic. An extra star for Capote's writing, because, wow. The entire time I was reading the novel, I just couldn't get over the language he used.
Other than that, though... I think I would've enjoyed this more if I'd read it for my degree, in class, with a professor deep-diving into it. Reading it by myself makes me think I've missed important stuff.
So for now, this is a genuine 3/5 stars, with an extra star thrown in for it's incredible writing.
